My Addiction: The Blue Door Boutique

They say the first step towards recovery is admitting that you have a problem. Well, I have an addiction. An addiction to The Blue Door Boutique.

"What is The Blue Door Boutique?" you may ask. I am about to enlighten you on this fabulous establishment, but be warned that you will most likely fall in love, become addicted, and you are not allowed to blame me for your empty wallets.

The Blue Door Boutique is a local clothing store located in Columbus, GA and believe it or not, I learned about it from a boy. Trent's best friend, Justin, became employed there and helped start their online presence. So he told Trent about it, Trent told me about it, badda bing badda boom, Christy is broke.

But, why exactly is TBD different and so amazingly fabulous? They have been brilliant in their online marketing efforts and have used social media to their utmost advantage. Every day (yes, EVERY single day Mon-Sat) they upload new items to their website and Facebook page. All of the items are actually shown on real girls, who just happen to be their incredibly cute stylists that all work at the boutique. This allows viewers to get a good image of what the item actually looks like on. They also include a description with each item that includes fabric info, style tips, and how sizes are running.

And what is even more awesome?? You can order it by making a Facebook comment on the picture!!! If they have your information on file at the store, you can literally say, "Will you please charge me for a small and send it my way?" and your credit card is charged and you have a lovely little package on your doorstep in two days. HOW EASY IS THAT? You can also order things off of the website (what I have done) if you are worried that things will sell out. And man do they sell out fast! Like literally within MINUTES! Decisions have to be made fast! (which, of course, is also genius)

They have nearly 15,000 fans on Facebook and it seems like their popularity is growing by the minute. The craze that they have managed to create through social media is unreal and I have no doubt that other stores will try to imitate their success.

So what should you do?? Go to www.thebluedoorboutique.com and check them out! You can also access their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thebluedoorboutique

Can you tell I'm a fan? Below are pictures of the items I have purchased to this point.

And here are a few (a lot) more great items / things I wish I had bought...

Happy shopping! But remember, I warned you. No blaming me for your brokeness... it's okay though, we will be well-dressed and broke together!

Summer Timeeee

Why is it that as you get older, summer feels less and less like "summer?" Remember the good ole days when the only worry you had on a summer morning was whether you were going to watch 'Hey Arnold' or 'The Wild Thorberry's?' Good times right there.

Although my agenda is slightly different these days, I am still enjoying my summer days. Life is basically consisting of my internship and wedding planning. It has been a while since my last update, so lets do a quick recap, shall we?

I joined the bandwagon and got an iPhone. You can thank it for most of the following snapshots of life.

Had some pool days.

Eat some steaks.

Puppy sat.

Had an engagement party.

Celebrated the 4th of July, Zarzaur style.

Went to cooking school!

Wedding planned. Wedding planned. Wedding planned.

It has been a great summer so far... can't believe it is already half way over. Loving the time away from school, but really missing all my frandsssss.

All of you should go get a snow cone tomorrow. Blue Raspberry is my personal fav.
