It is immensely comical to me that my first "real" post is going to revolve around this person. Slightly, actually incredibly, embarrassing to my intellectual esteem. I feel like a 14-year-old girl. However, this topic managed to reoccur in my thought processes throughout the day, and if staying true to the original nature of this blog, I need to post.
I came across an old video while on Twitter today, and it featured none other than the teen heartthrob, Robert Pattinson. Now, while I will be the first to admit that I have always been a fan (love me some Edward Cullen), my liking is like a single grain of sand in an ocean compared to some girls. It is bewildering to me how obsessed some people can become. And with this infatuation comes a sense of desperation to do absolutely anything to fill that void.
Take a look at this video I saw and you will see what I mean.
He literally cannot walk down a street corner without people attacking him? Three bodyguards aren't enough to prevent girls from throwing themselves at him? I understand that fame comes with a price, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I mean, how would you like it if you got ambushed every time you step in public? No morning coffee runs, no quick bites to eat, no jogs around the neighborhood (that's what normal people do, right? I personally rarely drink coffee and hate jogging, but I am just trying to make a point here. Go with it.). However, I have a feeling that until the Twilight movie franchise is completed in November 2012, his fame level won't decrease. Good luck, Rob. I would say "I understand what you are going through," but no one really cares if I buy fat-free milk rather than the traditional 2%. Except Mom, she would be proud.
Possible Recommendation for Rob to have some normalcy: get a complete body suit made like Robin Williams did in Mrs. Doubtfire. Ehh, then again, running around as an old woman really wouldn't be normal for him. Oh well, I tried.
I know how he feels. This happens to me EVERY day!
